Bombay Blue, EXP#021110:
This is a medium blue, or dark sapphire blue transparent rod that reduces. Unlike many of the strong metallic reducers, Bombay Blue has a subtle reaction, similar to the original batch of Aquis. When reduced with no oxygen, in the "dragon's breath" all-propane flame, Bombay will give a mylar finish - it is silvery but more transparent than a mirror finish. I liked the oil slick colors from reducing Bombay with some oxygen, just turning up the gas to give a 2" candle and reducing above that. This reduction is somewhat encaseable, although it makes the reduction into a more opaque sheen. Bombay is nice to use when you still want to see blue color, in addition to some light reactive effects.
